Mango Masala Rice Ingredients
- 1 raw mango of medium size.
- 3 cup cooked rice.
- 1 teaspoon big mustard.
- 1 teaspoon gram ‘dal’.
- 2 teaspoon red chilli powder.
- One pinch of turmeric powder.
- 5-6 curry leaves.
- Salt just to taste.
- And Oil to fry.
1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves.
First, peel the skin off raw mango and cut it into small pieces. Cook rice is such a way that each grain gets separate. After cooking rice, spread it in a plate adding a tsp of sesame seed oil. This is done so that the rice will not stick together.
Let it cool. Place on a low flame to heat the oil in a pan. Apply the mustard as soon as the oil is heated. Add chopped curry leaves, gram ‘dal’, mango pieces, turmeric and red chilli powder and fry for two minutes.
After a fixed time, mix the rice and salt well and fry it with the spoon and run it. Cook rice in such a way that each grain is separated. After cooking rice, spread it in a plate adding a tsp of sesame seed oil.
This is done so that the rice will not stick together. Let it cool. Mango masala rice is ready to be served. Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and enjoy it with pickle.
